Easy takedown enables quick separation of the barrel/forend assembly from the action for ease of transportation and storage. Takedown is as simple as locking the bolt back and verifying that the rifle is unloaded, pushing a recessed lever, twisting the subassemblies and pulling them apart.
-

Took it to the range as soon as it came (after cleaning of course).
Worked like a champ.
Ran about 100 rounds through and only 1 failure to eject (I expected a couple being out of the box and all).
My only disappointment was that Ruger does not have a magwell that is compatible with the P series pistols (I have a P89 and a P95).
They only have them for the Ruger American pistol, Security 9 and Glock.
I'll make do.
Otherwise, very pleased.
Have only owned the item for a few weeks, and have only put about 90 rounds through it, to get it sighted-in, but am overall happy with the purchase.
I knew it was not lightweight, but was a bit surprised at how heavy it is. My wife, who's admittedly a little wimp, couldn't even hold it up for more than a couple minutes, and shot only about 20 rounds.
Purchased four of the KCI 33-round magazines, and only used two of them in our quick sight-in. Loaded each magazine up only to 30-31 rounds, and did two rounds of shooting. One magazine stove-piped multiple times, each time around having 10 rounds left, each time using it. The other magazine stove-piped multiple times on the first shoot, and then the second shoot didn't do it... So, I'm not sold on the non-Glock magazines, and will probably send them back, and get Glock mag's.
Accurate, easy to shoot. Have a red dot sight on it. Let a 1st time shooter give it try and she hit 15 for 15 gongs at 20 yards. Her husband will have to buy her one now!
