Description
1979 Colt Python in 98% Excellent condiion. While 6" Nickel Pythons are already scarce, this is an exceptionally rare and exceptionally special example as it is a Custom Shop gun. Improvements include a phenominal action job with very light hammer draw and target-weight trigger, hand checkering on target hammer, and Elliason front and rear sights. Cylinder is hand fitted and very tight to barrel. Condition is excellent. Nickel on top strap and top of vent rib is satin to prevent sun glare. Other surfaces retain shiny nickel finish without damage except for what might be very slight tarnishing on left receiver flat directly in front of grip. A turn line is present on the cylinder - this is not unusual as the nickel finish is quite soft and is easily abraded by the lockwork. Light fouling is present on the front cylinder face and a very small amount is present in the cylinders. Lockup is expectedly excellent. An extremely fine Python which would happily occupy top spot in most collections.
